How to Maintain Outdoor Furniture: A Simple Care Guide

Outdoor furniture is designed for outdoor living, but regular care helps maintain its appearance, comfort, and durability over time.

Regular Cleaning

Clean outdoor furniture regularly with mild soap, water, and a soft cloth or brush. Avoid strong chemicals or abrasive tools that may damage the surface finish.

Aluminum Frame Maintenance

Powder-coated aluminum frames are durable and weather-resistant. Keep the surface clean and avoid scratches that may affect the protective coating. During winter, make sure no water remains inside the aluminum tubes, as freezing water may affect the frame structure.

Rope, Rattan and Fabric Care

For woven materials such as rope and PE rattan, remove dust regularly and clean gently with mild soap and water. Textilene fabrics and outdoor cushions should be kept clean and fully dried after rain to help maintain their performance.

Seasonal Protection

In harsh weather conditions, using a breathable furniture cover can protect outdoor furniture from rain, snow, and dust. If possible, storing furniture indoors during winter provides additional protection and helps extend service life.

Durability Starts From Design

Long-lasting outdoor furniture begins with good manufacturing details. Proper drainage holes in aluminum tubes, quality materials, and thoughtful frame design help prevent moisture buildup and improve outdoor performance.

At CHERISHOUTDOOR, we focus on durable materials and practical designs to create outdoor furniture collections built for long-term outdoor living.
